Superb family home in a chateau of real charm and character
Our shower (room 9) was rather poor
Lots of Character! Owner greets guests personally. Beautiful chateau! Reserve in advance a gourmet dinner at the hotel, worth it! Need a car to move around. Great breakfast too, worth the price.
The first time you sight the Chateau is a wow factor with the lawns and lake and the fabulous building of the Chateau. We were welcomed by the owner and his family and a champagne aperitif in the drawing room before a wonderful dinner. A four poster bedroom suite was superb. We had landed in Downton Abbey. We will return and it is hard to leave this magic place.
Leaving it, we wanted to stay longer.
This wonderful Chateau and welcoming hosts create an aura of peace and tranquility. The rooms were comfortable and beautiful without being austere. This is not a trendy designer hotel but a wonderful welcoming family house decorated with a real charm. Superb pool, table tennis table, trampoline and tennis court. A truly remarkable place to stay.
We loved staying in the fruitiers apartment. Our kids' (ages 5,7 and 9) never wanted to leave. The food was excellent. Had the weather been nicer we might have enjoyed the heated pool. The trampoline and ping pong tables were a huge hit and we enjoyed biking around on the beautiful property. A truly relaxing time with our family.
The only thing I did not like about this hotel was that there were no self service laundry facilities.
Unusual, very friendly, comfortable, home away from home feeling, dog friendly, lovely grounds, ambiance good.
The dinner was not good, no choice and quality poor - veg overcooked, meat inedible. Breakfast good.
Great host who truly wanted to offer a wonderful stay. Friendly staff . Beautiful rooms in the fascinating chateau as well as in the cottage. Great & lovely well maintained grounds and gardens in an excellent location. The buffet breakfast was excellent and the dinner was really amazing, a genuine gastronomic experience.( Although a bit expensive ) .Definitely to suggest it to our friends
It was a beautiful location and an excellent place to relax and enjoy being away from the city. The chateaux is wonderful and the the fruttier, where we stayed, is gorgeous. It is simply a wonderful place in the middle of the countryside where one can enjoy the quiet and the surrounding little villages.
The hotel us a virtual museum. If you ever wanted to live with centuries old antiques, art and ambiance, this is the place. The main chateau has been there for hundreds of years and has been, for the most part, restored to the owner's concept of its original condition using elements that have been in the family forever. The owner is a member of the original family and he and his wife are utterly charming. They make you feel a part of the house and like valued guests. The rooms are beautifully decorated, comfortable and clean. The facilities are well maintained and the hundred and fifty acres upon which the buildings sit are both beautiful and emaculate. Gardens, pool, endless manicured fields with a pond and a stand of regimented trees with horses in the background and a pair of friendly Beagles playing everywhere. The place is magic. Food is excellent and a set dinner is prepared nightly if you wish.
We were very pleasently surprised by the size and type of our accomodation and found it excellent value for money. We wish we had been able to stay for longer than one night. Excellent breakfast in beautiful dining room. Very friendly Husband and wife in charge and the lady who showed us to our accomodation was very friendly too.
The friendly personal service, the beautifully appointed room, the wonderful gardens, the food
We wanted a night in castle and got a historical time travel paired with a friendly owner who explained us the family history and showed us his chateau. The dinner and breakfast was great. The rooms were exactly what we were expecting. The big park is wonderful to walk or for kids to play. The flower garden is stunning to walk through. It was a great time.
hartes Bett, schlechtes WLAN
